Clinical governance & quality
Menopause has become a gold rush. Billions are moving through supplements, influencer protocols, and cash-only clinics while evidence and guidelines lag behind. This page exists so you can check our work: which guidelines we follow, how often we re-read them, what we measure, and what we refuse to prescribe.

Every Kindr protocol is mapped to a named, public source. If a recommendation is not traceable to one of these, it does not become a standing protocol.
Hormone therapy is first-line treatment for moderate-to-severe vasomotor symptoms and for prevention of bone loss in women under 60 or within 10 years of their final menstrual period, absent contraindications. Our prescribing thresholds, contraindication screening, and dose-minimization language follow this statement.
Read the source →We use ACOG guidance for endometrial protection (progestogen with any systemic estrogen in a woman with a uterus), for evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding in perimenopause, and for genitourinary syndrome of menopause, including low-dose vaginal estrogen without systemic progestogen.
Read the source →We follow the Endocrine Society position that "bioidentical" is a marketing term, not a safety claim, and that FDA-approved products are preferred when a suitable one exists. Our compounding policy is published in full.
Read the source →Hormone therapy is not prescribed at Kindr for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease or dementia. Metabolic risk is managed on its own evidence base — lifestyle, GLP-1 receptor agonists where indicated, lipid and glycemic management.
Read the source →Every standing HRT, GLP-1, and non-hormonal protocol is re-read against current NAMS, ACOG, and Endocrine Society guidance twice a year, and immediately whenever a major society updates a position statement or the FDA issues a relevant alert.
Every patient is tracked on validated symptom measures (hot flash frequency and severity, sleep, mood, sexual function) plus objective metabolic markers where relevant: weight, HbA1c, lipids, blood pressure. Clinicians are never compensated on prescription or supplement volume.
Beginning with the first full calendar year of tracked cohorts, Kindr will publish aggregate, de-identified outcomes — symptom change, adherence, discontinuation reasons, and adverse events — on this site, free to cite. If a result is unflattering, it still gets published.
Patients and non-patients can report a suspected side effect directly to our clinical team. Reportable events involving FDA-regulated products are forwarded to MedWatch, and compounded-product events to the dispensing 503A pharmacy.
Kindr revenue comes from care subscriptions, not from supplement upsell margin. No dietary supplement has been shown superior to placebo for hot flashes, and we do not market any as if it were. Prescribing decisions are made by licensed clinicians, never by marketing.
We do not claim that hormone therapy reverses aging, prevents dementia, prevents cardiovascular disease, or extends lifespan. We do not describe compounded products as safer or more effective than FDA-approved equivalents. Marketing copy is reviewed against this standard.
A quality standard is only meaningful if it costs something. These are treatments we could sell and choose not to.
Our full position on compounded hormones is published separately: when we use compounded HRT — and when we don’t.
Clinical protocols and prescribing at Kindr are overseen by the Kindr Health Clinical Team — licensed, independent physicians and clinical pharmacists practising under Kindr Health Inc. (organizational NPI 1609792902). Named clinical advisory board members will be published on this page as each appointment is confirmed; we would rather show an unfinished roster than a decorative one.
Editorial and content review is documented on our medical team page. Security, availability, and accessibility controls are audited independently and documented on our accessibility and privacy pages. This page is maintained by Kindr Health Inc. and describes our own practices; it is not an independent certification or an audit opinion.
Kindr protocols are mapped to The Menopause Society (NAMS) 2022 Hormone Therapy Position Statement, ACOG clinical guidance on menopausal symptom management and genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and the Endocrine Society position on compounded bioidentical hormone therapy. Metabolic care follows USPSTF and cardiometabolic society guidance rather than hormone-therapy indications.
No. When a suitable FDA-approved product exists, that is what our clinicians prefer. Compounded formulations are used for specific clinical reasons — allergy or excipient intolerance, a dose or delivery form not commercially available, or a combination product a patient cannot otherwise obtain. Our full policy is published at /compounded-hrt-policy.
No. Clinicians are not compensated on prescription volume, medication margin, or supplement sales. Kindr revenue comes from care subscriptions.
At minimum every six months, and immediately when a major society position statement changes or the FDA issues a relevant safety communication.
Yes. Kindr commits to publishing an annual aggregate, de-identified Kindr Menopause Outcomes Report covering symptom change, adherence, discontinuation, and adverse events.
We do not build our care model on supplement margin, and we do not represent supplements as equivalent to hormone therapy. Evidence to date does not show any dietary supplement outperforming placebo for hot flashes.
Guideline-based menopause and metabolic treatment, priced transparently.
