Femtrace is a brand-name oral estradiol acetate tablet, available in 0.45, 0.9, and 1.8 mg.
Estradiol acetate is rapidly converted to estradiol after absorption.
Oral estradiol is absorbed and processed by the liver before reaching circulation.
Femtrace is an FDA-approved brand-name product. Many Kindr patients use compounded alternatives prepared by a state-licensed 503A pharmacy when a custom dose, custom combination, or different delivery form is clinically preferable. Both pathways are available through Kindr — your provider will recommend based on your individual needs.
Both are oral bioidentical estradiol. Femtrace uses estradiol acetate; Estrace uses estradiol. Once absorbed, the active hormone in circulation is the same.
