Frequently asked questions
What is CagriSema?
CagriSema is the fixed-dose combination of cagrilintide + semaglutide (Novo Nordisk). Phase 3 REDEFINE trials report ~20–22% average weight loss, exceeding semaglutide alone.
Is cagrilintide available on its own?
It is not yet FDA-approved as a stand-alone product. Phase 3 trials are ongoing; expected regulatory submission 2026–2027.
Side effects?
Similar GI profile to other incretins — nausea, vomiting, diarrhea — generally well tolerated when titrated.
