Accessibility Statement

Kindr Health is committed to ensuring that our telehealth platform is accessible to people of all abilities. We believe that excellent menopause and hormone care should not be gated behind technology that excludes anyone. This statement describes the standards we follow, the ongoing work we do, and how to reach us for help.

Standards we follow

• Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA — the internationally recognized standard published by the W3C.
• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III as applied to places of public accommodation, including websites and mobile applications offering health services.
• Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act prohibiting discrimination in health programs.
• Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act standards for electronic information.
• 21st Century Cures Act information-blocking rules to give patients electronic access to their health information.

What we do

• Semantic HTML, ARIA where appropriate, and keyboard navigability across the marketing site, intake, and patient portal.
• Visible focus indicators and minimum 4.5:1 color-contrast ratios for body text.
• Alt text for informative images; decorative images marked appropriately.
• Forms with associated labels, descriptive error messages, and inline guidance.
• Captions for video content; transcripts available on request.
• Responsive design and reflow at 320 CSS pixels in width.
• Support for browser zoom to at least 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Compatibility with current versions of NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
• Honoring the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.

Telehealth accommodations

We offer the following at no additional cost. Please contact us in advance when possible:

• American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter video relay for telehealth visits.
• Real-time captioning for video visits (CART).
• Interpreter services in 200+ spoken languages.
• Large-print or screen-reader-optimized intake and consent forms.
• TTY/TTD access via 711 relay to +1 (650) 85-KINDR.
• Extended visit times when needed for effective communication.
• Alternative ways to submit your intake (phone or email) when the web form is a barrier.

Ongoing work and known limitations

We audit the platform quarterly using a combination of automated tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual screen-reader testing. Where we identify gaps we publish them here and remediate on a documented schedule:

• Some third-party content embedded from partners (e.g., laboratory results PDFs) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. We provide accessible alternatives on request.
• We are migrating older marketing imagery to ensure each image carries descriptive alt text.
