Editorial & Medical Review Policy

Kindr Health is a YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) medical resource. Every page is held to the standards below.

Last updated: May 10, 2026. Kindr Health publishes patient-facing information about menopause, perimenopause, hormone therapy, and related conditions. Because these topics directly affect health decisions, we follow the editorial standards below on every page we publish.

1. Source hierarchy

We cite, in order of preference:

  1. Peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed / MEDLINE.
  2. Position statements from the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Endocrine Society, and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
  3. U.S. federal sources: FDA drug labels, NIH Office on Women's Health, CDC.
  4. Cochrane systematic reviews and major textbooks.

We do not cite blogs, wellness influencers, or non-peer-reviewed websites as primary sources.

2. Medical review

Every clinical page is reviewed and signed by Dr. Ana Lisa Carr, MD, MBA — Board-Certified Family Medicine physician, Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Kindr Health, NPI 1689841744. Pages display the reviewer name, credentials, NPI, and the date last reviewed.

Pages are reviewed at least every 12 months, or sooner when clinical guidelines change.

3. Author independence

Clinical content is written by clinicians or by writers under the direct supervision of a clinician, and is reviewed independently of marketing and growth functions. We do not accept paid placements, ghostwritten content from pharmaceutical companies, or affiliate compensation that would influence clinical recommendations.

4. Off-label, compounded, and risk disclosure

Where we describe compounded medications, off-label prescribing, or treatments with material risk (including hormone therapy), we disclose that information plainly and link to the relevant FDA guidance. Compounded medications referenced on this site are prepared by FDA-registered 503A pharmacies and are not FDA-approved drug products.

5. AI use

We may use AI tools to draft, edit, or summarize content. Every AI-assisted page is read, edited, fact-checked against primary sources, and signed off by a human medical reviewer before publication. AI is never the final author of clinical claims.

6. Corrections

If you find a factual error or an outdated citation, email editorial@kindr.health. Corrections are logged on the affected page with the date of update. See our Corrections Policy for details.

7. Not medical advice

Information on Kindr Health is for general education and is not a substitute for advice from a clinician who knows your individual history. Always discuss treatment decisions with a licensed provider. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
