Bone Health Risk Screener
This is a simple screening tool based on well-known clinical risk factors for postmenopausal fragility fracture. It is not a replacement for FRAX or a DEXA-based diagnosis of osteoporosis.
Risk factor count
1
Low
Few or no strong clinical risk factors flagged. Ask your clinician about baseline DEXA at menopause or by age 65.
Educational estimate only. This tool does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical advice. Always confirm findings with a licensed clinician.

Questions
Is this the same as a FRAX score?
No. FRAX combines age, BMI, clinical risk factors and (optionally) bone mineral density into a 10-year fracture probability. This screener only counts red-flag risk factors.
Does HRT protect bone?
The Women's Health Initiative (WHI) showed that combined estrogen+progestin reduced hip fractures by roughly 33%. Bone-protective effects are strongest when HRT is started within 10 years of menopause.
