Menopause symptom cost calculator: personal annual burden
Interactive methodology estimating personal annual out-of-pocket cost of unmanaged menopause symptoms — OTC products, missed work, private consultations, and downstream health costs.
Key findings
- Data compiled from peer-reviewed literature, CDC HCUP, NHANES, SWAN, and Kindr Health de-identified clinical operations data.
- Findings are directional; each stat carries a confidence interval documented in the methodology section.
- This dataset is released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0). Journalists and researchers are free to cite with attribution.
- Kindr Health is a physician-supervised menopause telehealth platform operating in all 50 U.S. states.
Methodology
Kindr Research assembles this dataset from three sources: (1) peer-reviewed literature identified via PubMed and Cochrane, (2) de-identified aggregate signals from Kindr Health clinical operations, and (3) publicly available datasets (CDC, NHANES, SWAN, HCUP, CMS). Confidence intervals reflect underlying study heterogeneity. Ranges are reported at 95% CI where source data permits. This report was reviewed by the Kindr Health Clinical Team prior to publication. It is not intended as medical advice; consult a licensed clinician for individual guidance.
