Estriol cream: vaginal, face, and full-body use in menopause

Estriol (E3) is the mildest of the three human estrogens — about 1/80th the potency of estradiol. That weakness is its clinical strength: it treats vaginal atrophy and skin thinning with minimal systemic absorption, making it the safest local estrogen for cancer survivors and women who want facial anti-aging without full HRT.

How estriol works

Estriol binds the same estrogen receptors as estradiol but with far lower affinity and a shorter half-life. Applied locally, it restores tissue estrogen exposure where you need it — vaginal walls, facial dermis — without meaningfully raising blood estradiol.

What is the difference between estriol and estradiol?

Is estriol face cream safe long-term?
